Early Years Foundation Stage

The table below shows the percentage of children achieving a Good Level of Development (GLD) at the end of their first year in school. The GLD is a measure of attainment at the end of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage). Children are deemed to have achieved GLD if they have achieved the ELG (Early Learning Goals) in the EYFS curriculum areas of Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Physical Development, Communication and Language Development, Literacy and Mathematics.

Assessment results are no longer reported in terms of levels of achievement. Assessment results in both KS1 and KS2 are now reported in terms of whether children have met the age related expectations (ARE).
 
 
There are no statutory assessment test results for 2020 or 2021 as the test were not completed in schools due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
